Dhaka, March 18 (Dhaka Tribune) -China’s Peking University will honor Chief Adviser Professor Muhammad Yunus with an honorary doctorate, as announced by Chief Adviser’s Press Secretary Shafiqul Alam.
During a briefing at the Foreign Service Academy in the capital on Sunday, the press secretary said the Chinese ambassador to Bangladesh, Yao Wen, met with the chief adviser to discuss the upcoming visit.
The chief adviser will visit China on March 26, where he is scheduled to give a speech at Peking University.
On March 27, Professor Yunus will speak at the Boao Forum, where he will address Asia’s evolving role.
The forum will be attended by top leaders and CEOs of major companies, Shafiqul added.
