Colombo, Feb 24 (Daily Mirror) -Police have released the new photographs of the female suspect, Pinpura Dewage Ishara Sewwandi, who is wanted in connection with the murder of ’Ganemulla Sanjeewa’ at the Hulftsdorp Court Complex, seeking public assistance to arrest her.
The suspect, who is still at large has been identified as 25-year-old Pinpura Dewage Ishara Sewwandi residing at 243/01, Jaya Mawatha, Negombo Road, Katuwellegama.
Her National Identity Card number is 995892480V.
Investigations have revealed that Sewwandi, who posed as a lawyer, smuggled a revolver into the court complex and handed it over to the gunman involved in the murder.
Police urge anyone with information regarding the suspect’s whereabouts to contact the Director of the Colombo Crimes Division on 071-8591727 or the OIC of the CCD on 071-8591735.
Police said Acting Inspector General of Police, Priyantha Weerasooriya has also decided to offer a cash reward for anyone who provides accurate information leading to the suspect’s arrest.
They said the identity of those who provide such information will be kept strictly confidential.
