New Delhi, February 21 (Indian Express)- President Donald Trump has appointed Indian-American former journalist Kush Desai as his new Deputy Press Secretary, the White House confirmed on Friday. Desai brings a wealth of experience, having previously served as Deputy Communications Director for the 2024 Republican National Convention and Communications Director for the Republican Party of Iowa.
Desai also held the position of Deputy Battleground States and Pennsylvania Communications Director at the Republican National Committee. In this role, he played a crucial part in shaping messaging and narratives in key battleground states, including Pennsylvania, where Trump triumphed in the 2024 election.
In his new position, Desai will work under the White House Office of Communications, which will be overseen by Deputy White House Chief of Staff and Cabinet Secretary Taylor Budowich.
