Colombo, March 23 – Mr. Milinda Moragoda, Founder of the Pathfinder Foundation, discussed measures to enhance cooperation between the Foundation and Chinese think tanks and academic institutions with the Ambassador of China to Sri Lanka, H.E. Qi Zhenhong.
Mr Moragoda briefed the Ambassador on the Foundation’s recent activities and shared the Pathfinder Foundation’s proposal for a National Security Strategy – 2026, launched on 5 March 2026.
Mr Moragoda stated that the Pathfinder Foundation is organising several programmes in cooperation with Chinese institutions. The first of these will be the ‘China-Sri Lanka Maritime Cooperation Dialogue-2026’, scheduled for the second week of May. Arrangements are now underway for the dialogue with the China Centre for South Asian Studies (CCSAS) at Sichuan University in Chengdu, as part of the activities of the China Sri Lanka Cooperation Studies Centre of the Pathfinder Foundation.
Mr. Jin Enze, Third Secretary of the Embassy of China, and Bernard Goonetilleke, Chairman of the Pathfinder Foundation, participated in the discussion.
